Getting To Paris From The Airport

When arriving here for the first time, getting to Paris can be difficult
especially as the airports are out of town!

There are two main airports in Paris: Roissy Charles de Gaulle which is located in the suburbs north of Paris, and Orly which is in the southern suburbs.
Whether you’re arriving at Roissy Charles de Gaulle, or Orly, don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to reach Paris: Train, Taxi, bus… We have put together a guide for you below!

From Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport

By train:
Take the RER line B to Paris. Trains leave every 10 minutes, from 5am to midnight. It takes about 50 minutes to reach Paris center and costs €10.30. You can get tickets from the machines right before taking the train, or buy them in advance here by selecting the number of adults and children – select RER B One way Train Ticket Charles de Gaulle airport – Paris.

By bus:
A more comfy way to get to Paris is the Roissybus. The bus stops at Opera, rue Scribe (9th district). Buses leaves every 10 to 30 minutes, from 6 am to 11 pm and it takes around 1 hour to reach Paris center. Roissy bus is €13.70.

You can buy the tickets directly on the bus (with credit/debit card), or make a reservation here: select RoissyBus one way.

By taxi:
It’s very simple: there is one queue for taxis to Paris. It’s super well organized. Don’t accept any offers from taxis that are not waiting in line – plenty of them will try to approach you but they are not official taxis.
Please note that flat-rate fares have been introduced for journeys between Paris and Charles de Gaulle airport. The price is €50 to the right bank, and €55 to the left bank – so you always know what it’s going to cost!
