Stuffed tomatoes

The stuffed tomatoes recipe is a basic of the French Cuisine (for south eat of France) and one of the children’s favorite meals!

This recipe is super easy to make and you can also twist it with other vegetables like zucchinis, pepper, mushrooms… It a good way to make children eat vegetables!

Ingredients

For 6 Stuffed Tomatoes
  • Minced pork meat (500 gr)
  • 1 onion
  • 8 tomatoes
  • Basil
  • Pepper, salt, olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese

Steps

Prepare the stuffing

  • 1. Remove the core of the tomatoes, slice the top of the tomatoes (about 0,5 inch) and put the inside of the tomatoes in a pan. You should get empty tomatoes with a "hat"
  • 2. Put some Olive oil in the pan with the juice and inside of tomatoes, add the sliced onions and cook everything together
  • 3. Once it's cooked, add the pork meat and cook all together
  • 4. Add the minced basil, salt & pepper as you like, some parmesan cheese
